The challenge
A private compound for an extended family with very different lifestyles — a main villa for the principal household, secondary residences that read as their own homes rather than guest wings, and outdoor space shared across all generations without sacrificing privacy. The plot's narrow north-south orientation made daylight design the controlling constraint.
Our approach
We worked plan-first with the family to lock the lifestyle layout before drawing a single elevation. Each residence sits on its own service core so MEP can be maintained without entering anyone else's home. A shared landscaped spine runs east-west, picking up the favorable winter sun, with planted privacy walls that fold open to the family majlis when the household wants the compound to feel like one space.
The outcome
Three independent residences, one shared garden, and a unified architectural language — handed over with the smart-home, irrigation, and pool systems all on a single integrated control plane. The family moved in together over the course of one weekend.
